LA MAN HIT WITH $300 IN LAPD FINES AFTER RIPPING A LOUD FART NEXT TO TWO OFFICERS ON SUNSET BOULEVARD

LOS ANGELES, CA — A late-night chili dog run on Sunset Boulevard turned into one of the strangest police citations of the year after 28-year-old Jackson Reeves was reportedly fined $300 by LAPD officers for loudly farting next to two officers… then joking about it on FaceTime while they were still standing there.

According to witnesses, the incident happened Friday night around 11:42 p.m. outside a crowded walk-up hot dog stand near the 8700 block of Sunset Boulevard. Reeves had reportedly just ordered a double chili dog, cheese fries, and a large soda when things suddenly took a turn.

Multiple witnesses say Reeves was standing near the condiment station on speakerphone with a friend when he allegedly released what one witness described as “an absolutely violent fart that echoed off the sidewalk.”

“There was a pause afterward like everybody needed a second to process what just happened,” said one witness who had been eating chili fries nearby. “Even the officers looked confused.”

Two LAPD officers were reportedly standing less than four feet away when the sound happened. One officer allegedly turned around immediately, believing a nearby vehicle had backfired in the street.

That’s when Reeves reportedly lost control laughing.

Witnesses say Reeves leaned toward his phone and shouted:
“BRO I AM NOT OKAY, THAT ONE HAD SURROUND SOUND.”

According to the citation report, Reeves then reenacted the sound effect twice using his mouth while still on FaceTime. The second reenactment was reportedly louder and included what one witness described as “full commitment and bass.”

A second witness claimed Reeves accidentally made direct eye contact with one of the officers mid-reenactment before saying:
“My bad officer… bonus track.”
